If my couch is defective and this is usually a quality couch that lasts for years, replace it! The fact that they won't replace it, leads me to believe this is "normal" premature decline for Utopia, so don't buy it. What is creaking and sagging if it's not the boards or the springs? When I later heard from the warranty department, they said the repair man called my couch "NORMAL and my claim was denied." I fought back against this dismissal of my claim, but they are not returning my calls. I tried to collect on my warranty within the year of purchase.Ī repair man came out, and said there wasn't anything wrong with the springs or boards but that the couch was obviously not right and I would have to work it out with Living Spaces, and they could replace it for me. There are cracks and tears in the seams of the arms of the stitching from where it is falling apart, literally bursting at the seams. It creaks every time my tiny cat jumps on or off of it.
